In short
The UAE government portal names fishing as a key contributor to the Umm Al Quwain economy, and the Chamber reports industrial memberships up 15.9% in 2025 (Zawya, reporting WAM).Producers, packers and kitchens here often sell to shops and restaurants in other emirates, where a pack has to explain itself without the maker standing beside it. We design packaging for Umm Al Quwain businesses from our Sharjah office in Muweilah, the nearer of our two offices, and we travel to you when a pack needs to be handled and discussed. There is no Abcon office in Umm Al Quwain. We plan the panels, the Arabic and English text and the print file in one go, so the pack is ready for a press and not only for a screen.

What is included
What we design on a pack
The job usually starts with one pack and grows into a range, so we plan the structure before the artwork:
01
Pack structure
Which faces carry the name, the picture, the flavour or grade, and the small print, decided before colours are chosen.
02
Bilingual panels
The Arabic and English information laid out together, with room left for the details your authority and your buyer need.
03
Range systems
One frame with a colour or symbol per product, so a shopper can find the right one from across the aisle.
04
Takeaway and delivery
Boxes, cups, bags and sleeves for kitchens, with a pattern that identifies a parcel on a counter.
05
Labels and stickers
Labels for jars, tubs, crates and trays, sized for the printer’s machine.
06
Cartons and outers
Shipping boxes and master cartons, so the parcel looks like the product inside it.
07
Print-ready artwork
Dielines, bleed, colour references and notes for the printer, with proofs checked before a run.

When it helps
Signs that a pack is not working
01
Buyers pick the wrong flavour.
When every variant looks alike, shoppers and shop staff mix them up. A clear colour or symbol for each product fixes that.
02
The Arabic is squeezed in.
A cramped Arabic panel beside a confident English one tells the customer which language was an afterthought.
03
It looks different on every run.
Without a locked colour reference and dieline, each printer’s batch comes out a little different from the last.
04
A cooler or a damp carton.
Packs that sit in chilled or humid places need materials and inks chosen for that environment. We raise it with the printer at the start so the design is not wasted.
05
You sell beyond the emirate.
A pack that leaves Umm Al Quwain for a supermarket shelf or a restaurant kitchen elsewhere has to stand next to a dozen others and still be understood.
06
New lines keep arriving.
Industrial memberships grew 15.9% in 2025, says Zawya reporting WAM. A system that takes a new product without a redesign saves everyone time.
Process
How we work on packaging design in Umm Al Quwain
Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.
01
Diagnose
We start by handling your product and the packs it competes against. We ask where it is stored, how it is sold and who opens it, and we collect any text the authority or your buyer requires on the label.
02
Architect
We draw the structure and test a front panel at shelf distance, then add the Arabic and English text, the range logic and the pattern. You see a printed or screen mock-up of the pack in the hand, not just a flat file.
03
Deploy
We prepare dielines, colour references and print files, and we check proofs with the printer. Packaging printed through Abcon Group’s own packaging and print companies can be coordinated with us, or we pass artwork to the printer you already use.
04
Compound
When a new size, flavour or seasonal pack is added, we extend the range system and update the files. We also review the first runs against the approved proofs so any drift is caught early.

Selected work
Packaging work that carries to Umm Al Quwain
This is portfolio work from other clients, chosen for the problems it solves: a full takeaway range, shelf packaging, a delivery box and a wrapper that gives each flavour its own colour.
What shapes the cost of packaging in Umm Al Quwain
We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.
A single pack differs from a range of flavours, sizes and formats.
Pack formats
A label is simpler than a box with a dieline, and a printed carton needs more preparation.
Language and text
Bilingual information panels, ingredient lists and legal text add layout and checking time.
Mock-ups and proofs
Printed samples and proof checks are separate from the artwork itself.
Printing and materials
The printer quotes stock, finishes and quantities, and that is separate from the design fee.
Photography
If the pack needs product photography, that is scoped separately.
What clients say on Google
★★★★★5 out of 5 stars
Very professional work, they choose quality over quantity all the time, creative and innovative , love the fact that they include their own opinions and give me honest feedback, helps with improving business and business development.
Absolutely amazing experience working with this team. Their creativity, attention to detail, and understanding of branding is on another level. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their brand presence.👍👍
Yes. A single label or a short run of boxes is a fair project. We keep the system simple enough to grow later without a redesign.
Do you print the packaging?
We design and prepare print-ready artwork. Printing can be coordinated through German Printing Press in Abcon Group or done by your own printer. The proposal states which, so there is no surprise.
Can the packaging carry Arabic and English?
Yes. We plan both languages from the first draft, including the information panels, so neither is squeezed in.
Do you check legal label requirements?
We lay out the text you give us and leave space for required statements. The authority and your buyer set the rules, so you confirm the content, and we make it fit and read clearly.
Do you work with food kitchens and restaurants?
Yes. Our portfolio includes boxes, cups and bags for burger, tea, coffee and mandi businesses, and we can adapt the same thinking to a kitchen in Umm Al Quwain.
Can we meet to look at the physical pack?
Yes. We can visit you in Umm Al Quwain, or you can bring samples to the Muweilah office in Sharjah. Some reviews are easier online when the pack is in front of the camera.
What should we share before a packaging design project in Umm Al Quwain?
Send the product, or a photograph of it, the current packaging, the text and certificates that must appear, the sizes and any printer specifications. Tell us where the pack is sold and who you compete with.
Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?
Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
