Restaurant and café branding in Dubai.

Restaurants, cafés and food brands make up most of our portfolio. Abcon Branding has created identities for cafeterias, burger restaurants, a tea shop, a mandi restaurant and food producers in the UAE, and the work goes well beyond the logo: packaging, shopfronts and signs, uniforms and delivery boxes. Everything a customer sees before the first bite is designed as one brand.

What restaurant branding covers

A food brand has to work in more places than most. We design all of them as one system:

Concept and naming
a clear idea of the place and its customers, and a name that is easy to say in English and Arabic.
Logo and identity
a mark that works on a cup lid and on a shopfront, with Arabic and English lockups where they are needed.
Packaging
boxes, cups, bags, sleeves, sachets and delivery packaging designed as one set.
Shopfront and interior signage
fascia and hanging signs and wall graphics, which Abcon Group’s signage company can produce.
Menus and print
menus, flyers and in-store print.
Uniforms and merchandise
T-shirts, caps and sweatshirts that make the team part of the brand.
Food photography and social content
images and films of the food for menus, delivery platforms and social media.

What makes a food brand work in the UAE

  1. It is recognisable in a busy food court.

Colour and shape have to do the work in a split second.

  2. It works in two languages.

Many customers read the Arabic first, so it deserves the same design care as the English.

  3. It travels well.

With delivery, the packaging is often the only part of the brand a customer sees.

  4. It is ready to grow.

A system that works for one branch should work for ten, and for next season’s menu.

How we work on restaurant and café branding

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here:

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We look at the concept, the customers, the location and the competition nearby.

  2. 02

    Architect

We design the identity, packaging and signage as one system, and test it on the actual items.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We prepare production files and can produce signage, print and packaging within Abcon Group.

  4. 04

    Compound

New branches, menu items, campaigns and content are added to the same system as the business grows.

What shapes the cost of restaurant branding

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most:

  • One outlet or a chain: a single café needs fewer applications than a brand planned for many branches.
  • Naming: a new name adds creative rounds and trademark checks.
  • The packaging range: the number of boxes, cups, bags and extras to design.
  • Signage and fit-out: shopfront signs and interior graphics are produced separately, and their cost depends on size and materials.

Questions and answers

Can you design our restaurant’s name and logo in Arabic too?

Yes. Snap Chay and Waqtal Mandi both have Arabic and English versions designed together, used on their shopfronts and packaging.

Do you make the shopfront sign?

We design it, and Abcon Group’s Abjar Signboard Works can produce and install it, so the sign matches the design.

We are opening soon. Where should we start?

With the concept and the identity, because the sign, the packaging and the menu all depend on them. Tell us your opening date and we will plan the work back from it.

Do you photograph food as well?

Yes. Our creative studio shoots dishes, drinks and interiors for menus, delivery platforms and social media.
