Rebranding in Umm Al Quwain, without losing the customers you have.

A refreshed identity and a changeover plan for businesses that are already known.

Offices in Dubai (Al Qusais) and Sharjah (Muweilah), working across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, and in Oman.

In short

Umm Al Quwain is the second smallest and least populated emirate, according to the UAE government portal, and in a small place a business’s name travels by word of mouth. That is the main reason to rebrand carefully: the people who already know you need to recognise you, while new customers should see a business that has moved on. We handle rebranding for Umm Al Quwain companies from our Sharjah office in Muweilah, the closer of our two offices, and visit you for the audit and the launch plan. We have no office in Umm Al Quwain. We start by deciding what to keep, change only what is holding the business back, and plan every sign, vehicle and document that has to change with it.

What is included

What a rebrand involves

Rebranding is a sequence of decisions, and the order matters:

01

Audit

Every place the brand shows up today, from the fascia and vehicles to licences, invoices and social pages, with notes on what works.

02

Keep and change list

A written decision on which name, colour, shape or phrase people recognise, and which parts are dated or unclear.

03

Repositioning

A clear line on who the business now serves and what it wants to be known for, if that has shifted.

04

Name question

A check on whether the name still fits, and, if not, options and the legal steps to consider.

05

New identity

A mark, colours and type drawn in Arabic and English, tested beside the old one.

06

Changeover plan

The order in which signs, vehicles, print, website and profiles change, so the old and new never clash.

07

Announcement

A simple message for customers, suppliers and staff that explains the change and what stays the same.

When it helps

Signs it is time to rebrand

  1. 01

The business has outgrown its identity.

The logo was made for a single shop and now it sits on a fleet, a website and a product range, none of which it was drawn for.

  2. 02

    You changed what you do.

A trader who now manufactures, or a supplier who now sells directly, is still described by a name and a look from the old model.

  3. 03

A merger or a new partner.

Two businesses joining need one identity that tells customers how they relate, not two logos side by side.

  4. 04

    Competitors look newer.

The Umm Al Quwain Chamber reported memberships up 23.4% in 2025 (Zawya, reporting WAM). Newer firms entering the market often arrive with fresh identities that make an older one look tired.

  5. 05

Your customers do not recognise the name.

If people call you something different from the sign, the brand is working against you.

  6. 06

You want to be taken more seriously.

Larger buyers judge on paperwork and presentation. A business that looks established gets taken through to the quote more often.

Process

How we work on rebranding in Umm Al Quwain

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We begin with the people who know you best: long-serving staff, loyal customers and suppliers. We ask what they would be sad to lose and what they find confusing. Then we audit every place the brand appears and photograph what is hardest to change, such as signs and vehicles.

  2. 02

    Architect

We agree what stays, what changes and the position the new identity must express. The new design is shown next to the old one on a sign, a van, a document and a phone screen, so you can judge the change in context.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We write the changeover plan: the order of signs, vehicles, print and digital, and the message for customers. Abjar Signboard Works and German Printing Press in Abcon Group can produce the signs and print, or we hand artwork to your own suppliers.

  4. 04

    Compound

After the change we check the stragglers: a social page nobody updated, an old sticker on a van, a form still using the former logo. We update the guide and the templates until the old identity is gone.

Cost

What shapes the cost of a rebrand in Umm Al Quwain

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.

Our guide to what branding costs in Dubai explains how to compare quotes.

How much changes

A refresh that keeps the name and shape is smaller than a new name and a new position.

Audit and research

Interviews with staff and customers take more time than a desk review.

Number of touchpoints

Every sign, vehicle, document and page to be changed adds artwork and checking.

Languages

Redrawing in Arabic and English together is more work than one script.

Production

Signs, vehicle wraps and reprinted stationery are quoted by the supplier.

Legal steps

Trade licence, trademark and contract updates are for your advisers, and affect the order of work.

Questions and answers

Do we need to change our name?

Not usually. A name people already know is an asset. We look at whether it still fits, and recommend a change only when it is confusing, limiting or legally awkward.

Will customers get confused?

That is the main risk, and the changeover plan exists to reduce it. We keep recognisable elements where we can and explain the change in plain words.

Can we rebrand in stages?

Yes. Many businesses change the logo and the website first, then signs and vehicles. We plan the order so old and new do not appear together for long.

Who handles the signs and vehicles?

Abjar Signboard Works and German Printing Press in Abcon Group can produce signs and print. You can also use your own suppliers, and we give them clear artwork.

Do we need approval for a new sign?

Outdoor signs can need approval from the relevant Umm Al Quwain authority, and landlords may have rules too. We list the checks in the plan.

Can you come to Umm Al Quwain for the audit?

Yes. We can walk the premises and look at the vehicles with you, then hold the reviews online. The Muweilah office in Sharjah is open if you prefer to meet there.

What should we share before a rebranding project in Umm Al Quwain?

Tell us why you are considering a change. Send the current logo, photos of every sign and vehicle, sample documents, social links and your website. Name the staff and customers who know the brand best, and who approves the new one.

Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?

Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
