People hire people. A founder, a senior executive, a consultant, a doctor or a property agent is often searched for by name before anyone reads the company website. Abcon Branding helps professionals in Dubai and across the UAE decide what they want to be known for and then present it consistently: a short positioning, a professional bio, portrait photography, a LinkedIn profile, a personal website and, where it helps, a monogram or personal logo and a speaking and media kit. It is the same strategic work we do for companies, scaled to one person and to the way they actually build a reputation.

What personal branding covers

A personal brand should sound like you on a good day, not like a press release, and it should be small enough to keep up. Depending on your role, the work includes:

01Positioning

what you want to be known for, by whom, and the two or three subjects you will speak about, agreed in a working session rather than a questionnaire.

02Bio and profile writing

a one-line description, a short bio and a long bio in the first and third person, for LinkedIn, event programmes, websites and the press.

03LinkedIn profile

headline, about section, featured items, banner image and a posting plan, set up so a visitor understands what you do within a few seconds.

04Portrait and working photography

planned portraits and pictures of you at work, on stage or with clients, shot by our creative studio and chosen for the places they will appear.

05Personal website

a simple site at your own name with your story, your services or speaking topics, articles and a contact route, which stays yours if you change employer.

06Monogram or personal logo, where useful

a monogram, signature mark or wordmark for consultants and practitioners who trade under their own name, along the lines of the J and Jeem monogram for Jumanah Foods. Many executives do not need one, and we will say so.

07Speaking and media kit

a one-page speaker sheet, approved photographs, bios, talk titles and a slide template for your presentations.

08Stationery and email signatures

business cards, letterheads and email signatures that sit comfortably beside your company’s brand rather than competing with it.

09Content and social plan

the topics, formats and rhythm for posts and articles, sized to the time you really have, with help from our social media team if you want it.

10Practice and agent material

for doctors, consultants and real estate agents: listing and profile templates, referral and appointment material, designed within the rules of your regulator or brokerage.

When a personal brand is worth the work

  1. People search for you before they meet you.

Investors, clients, patients and journalists look you up. What they find should match the person who walks into the meeting.

  2. Your company’s brand cannot speak for you.

Consultants, advisers and specialists are hired for their judgement. A company logo does not carry that; a clear profile and a visible body of work do.

  3. You are changing role or going independent.

A new position, a new practice or a move from employee to founder is the moment to decide how you want to be described.

  4. You are being invited to speak.

Organisers ask for a bio, a photograph and a talk title by tomorrow. Having them ready, approved and consistent saves time and looks professional.

  5. Your photographs are cropped from holidays.

One old or informal picture used everywhere undoes good work elsewhere. A planned shoot gives you a set of images for each use.

  6. Your profiles say different things.

LinkedIn, the company website, a property portal and a speaker page often describe the same person in four different ways.

How we work on personal branding

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We start with a conversation about your work, your plans for the next few years and the people whose opinion matters to them, from clients and patients to investors and employers. We review what appears when your name is searched, your current profiles and photographs, and any rules from your employer, regulator or brokerage.

  2. 02

    Architect

We agree the positioning, the subjects you will be known for and the tone of voice, then write the bios and headline and plan the photography. If a monogram or personal mark is useful, we design it at this stage and show it beside your company’s brand, so the two sit well together.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We shoot the portraits, update your LinkedIn profile with you, build the personal website and prepare the speaking and media kit. Business cards and printed material can be produced by Abcon Group’s German Printing Press. You stay in control of every account and publish in your own name.

  4. 04

    Compound

A personal brand is kept up by what you publish and where you appear. We can help plan posts and articles, refresh the photographs and bios as your role changes, and add talks, interviews and projects to the website, at a pace you can sustain.

What shapes the cost of personal branding

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.

  • Scope of the profile: a positioning session with bios and a LinkedIn update is a smaller job than adding a website, a mark and a media kit.
  • Photography: a single portrait session differs from a day of portraits, working shots and event coverage at several locations.
  • Website: a one-page site at your name differs from a site with articles, speaking pages and booking.
  • Writing: bios alone differ from regular posts and articles drafted with you from interviews.
  • Languages: Arabic and English bios and profiles need writing and checking in both languages.
  • Ongoing support: planning, writing or editing posts each month is a separate, continuing scope after the set-up.

Questions and answers

Who is personal branding for?

Founders and chief executives who represent their company in public, senior executives building a profile, consultants and advisers who trade under their own name, doctors and specialists in private practice, and real estate agents whose clients choose a person before a brokerage. The work differs for each, so we start with how your clients, patients or employers actually choose.

Do I need a personal logo?

Usually not. An executive inside a company is better served by good photographs, a clear bio and a well-kept LinkedIn profile under the company’s brand. A monogram or personal wordmark makes sense for consultants, practitioners and speakers who trade under their own name and need one mark for a website, slides and stationery.

Can you photograph me?

Yes. Our creative studio plans the shoot around where the pictures will be used: a LinkedIn headshot, a website banner, a speaker sheet, articles and social posts. We usually combine a formal portrait with pictures of you at work, so you are not using one image everywhere.

Will you post on LinkedIn for me?

We can help plan and draft posts and articles with you, but the account stays yours and you approve everything that goes out in your name. A smaller number of posts in your own voice is easier to keep up, and reads more honestly, than a busy calendar written by someone else.

How do my personal brand and my company’s brand fit together?

They should support each other without competing. We look at both and agree which one leads in each place: the company on proposals and its website, you on LinkedIn, on stage and in the press. Our founder, Muhammed Shafad, keeps a personal website and LinkedIn profile alongside the Abcon Branding site, so we know the question first hand.

Can you work within the rules for doctors and property agents?

Yes, we design within them. Medical practitioners and property agents in the UAE work under rules on advertising, titles, claims and listings set by their regulator, licensing body or brokerage. You and your compliance contact confirm what is allowed; we make the profile clear and professional inside those limits.

Can you show personal-brand work in your portfolio?

Not yet. Our published portfolio is company and product work, and we will not present it as anything else. The examples on this page show the transferable skills: monograms, social profiles, media and microphone branding, stationery and people-led website openings.

How long does a personal branding project take?

It depends on the scope, so we agree the timeline with you after a first diagnostic conversation, before any work begins, and set it out in the proposal. Photography depends on your diary and the locations, so we book it early.

What should I share before a personal branding project?

Send links to your LinkedIn profile and any personal or company website that describes you, with recent photographs and any bios used by event organisers or the press. Tell us what you want to be known for, who you want to reach, any changes coming in your role and any rules from your employer, regulator or brokerage that we should work within.

Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?

Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
