Packaging design in Dubai.
Packaging is often the part of a brand people actually hold. Abcon Branding designs packaging for restaurants, cafés and consumer products in the UAE, from takeaway boxes and cups to retail pouches, as part of the brand identity rather than a one-off label. Abcon Group includes packaging and printing companies, so every design is made with production in mind from the start.

What we design
We design packaging as a family, so every item is clearly part of the same brand:
- Takeaway and delivery packaging
- boxes, cups, bags, sleeves and delivery boxes that look good on a table and survive the ride.
- Retail and product packaging
- pouches, bags and cartons for food and consumer products that need to stand out on a shelf.
- Ranges and labels
- systems that let a range grow, with each variant easy to tell apart and clearly from the same brand.
- Patterns and wraps
- brand patterns that keep packaging recognisable when the logo is out of sight.
- Branded extras
- tissues, sachets, stickers, uniforms and merchandise, designed with the packaging.
- Production artwork
- files prepared for print, with the specifications printers and converters need.
What good packaging does
It is recognisable across the room.
Colour, pattern and shape should say who you are before anyone reads a word.
It works as a set.
Boxes, cups and bags should look like one brand, not three suppliers.
It survives production.
A design has to hold up on real materials, print processes and budgets.
It sells the next order.
A delivery bag or a box on a desk is advertising. It should give people a reason to remember you.
How we work on packaging design
Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here:
- 01
Diagnose
We look at the product, the customers, where the packaging is seen and what competitors use.
- 02
Architect
We design the packaging system as part of the brand: structure, colour, pattern, typography and the rules for adding new items.
- 03
Deploy
We prepare production artwork and work with the printers and packaging makers, including Abcon Group’s Alfapack, GPack and German Printing Press.
- 04
Compound
As the menu or range grows, new items join the same system instead of starting from scratch.

Packaging from our portfolio
Most of our packaging work is for food brands, where the box is often the only part of the brand a delivery customer sees.
Burger Hub: boxes, cups, tissues, fries sleeves and sachets as one range.
52 Cafe: pizza boxes, cups, trays and paper bags.
Ideal Food Choice: retail packaging built to stand out on the shelf.
Bab: burger boxes and cups with the brand pattern.
Waqtal Mandi: a delivery box for a mandi restaurant.
Hotshay: takeaway boxes and cups for a tea shop.
What shapes the cost of packaging
We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most:
- Number of items: one box is a different job from a full range of boxes, cups, bags and extras.
- New structures: custom shapes and cutter guides take longer than standard formats.
- Materials and finishes: special papers, foils and finishes affect production cost and lead time.
- Quantities: print runs and minimum orders set the production budget, which is separate from design.

Questions and answers
Can you also print and produce the packaging?
Yes. Abcon Group includes Alfapack Plastic & Paper Packaging, GPack Paper Packaging and German Printing Press, so the design can be taken through to production within the group.
Do we need a brand identity before packaging?
Packaging works best as part of a clear identity. If you already have one, we design within it. If you don’t, we create both together, as we have for many of the restaurant and café brands in our portfolio.
Do you design packaging for supermarkets and retail?
Yes. Ideal Food Choice is an example of retail packaging designed to compete on the shelf.
How long does packaging design take?
It depends on the number of items, whether new structures are needed and the production route. We agree the timeline once we know the range.
