A technology company usually knows exactly what its product does and struggles to say it in one sentence. Abcon Branding helps software companies, SaaS start-ups, IT and telecom integrators and hardware sellers in the UAE explain what they make, then builds the identity, website, product guidelines and sales material around that explanation. Our portfolio includes the Telcovate infrastructure-automation website, a smart-home solutions brochure and product photography for electrical and audio equipment. We use the same process for a founder preparing a first investor deck as for an integrator bidding against much larger firms.

What technology branding covers

A tech brand is read by users, buyers, engineers and investors, and each of them wants a different level of detail. Most projects draw on some of these:

01Category and positioning

which category you compete in, or whether you are creating one, who the product is for and the problem it removes, agreed before any visual work begins.

02The one-line explanation

a sentence a non-technical buyer understands, followed by three or four supporting points and the proof behind each, used on the website, in decks and on sales calls.

03Naming

company, product, plan and feature names that are easy to say, work in English and Arabic where needed and leave room for the roadmap. Domain, trademark and app store checks are made with your advisers.

04An identity built for screens

a logo that still reads as a browser favicon and an app icon, with colour, type and motion rules that work in light and dark interfaces.

05Product UI guidelines

colour, type, iconography, illustration and component styling handed to your product and engineering team, so the product and the marketing look like the same company.

06Explainer content

diagrams, short animations and screen walkthroughs that show what the product does, produced by our motion graphics team.

07Website and product pages

a site that names the problem in the first screen, explains features by what they achieve, and leads to a demo, a trial or a quote.

08Investor and sales decks

pitch decks, sales presentations and one-page product sheets, with a clear story order and slides your team can edit.

09Product and hardware photography

studio and location shoots of devices, equipment and installations, like the marine speaker and travel socket shoots in our gallery.

10Launch and demand generation

launch campaigns and search, LinkedIn and email activity aimed at the buyers you need, planned with our digital marketing team.

What a technology brand has to do

  1. Say what it does in one sentence.

If a visitor has to read three paragraphs to understand the product, many will leave before the third. The first line has to name the problem and who it is solved for.

  2. Make the invisible visible.

Software, networks and automation cannot be photographed in the usual way. Diagrams, interface views and pictures of the place the technology is used do the work a product shot would do.

  3. Look the same inside and outside the product.

When the website, the app and the sales deck use different colours and type, the company looks smaller and less organised than it is.

  4. Earn the trust of larger buyers.

Enterprise and government buyers want to see that a younger company is stable, secure and serious. Consistent documents and clear proof matter as much as the demo.

  5. Persuade investors as well as customers.

A founder often tells the same story to a buyer on Monday and an investor on Thursday. The brand has to support both without becoming two companies.

  6. Survive the next pivot.

Products change, features are renamed and new markets open. A brand built on the customer’s problem, rather than the current feature list, lasts longer.

How we work on technology and SaaS branding

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We learn the product properly: we watch a demo, read the documentation and talk to the people who sell and support it. We look at who buys, who uses and who signs, the competitors they compare you with and the questions that come up on sales calls, then review the website, the product, the deck and the onboarding emails.

  2. 02

    Architect

We agree the category, the one-line explanation and the proof points, then design the identity and test it on the product itself: the app icon, a dashboard screen, the website’s first screen, a slide and a social post. Product and engineering leads see the interface guidance before it is finalised, so it fits the way they build.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We hand over logo files, a brand guide, interface guidelines with the colour and type values your developers need, the website, deck and sales templates, explainer animations and launch creative. Our digital marketing team can then run search, social and email activity aimed at the buyers you named.

  4. 04

    Compound

When the product changes, the brand moves with it. New features, plans and integrations get names and visuals that follow the system, and we update the website, the deck and the guidelines as the company raises money, hires and enters new markets.

What shapes the cost of technology branding

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.

  • Stage of the company: a pre-launch start-up needing a name, an identity and a first deck is a different job from a growing company rebranding a product customers already use.
  • Product complexity: the more modules, user types and integrations the product has, the more time goes into understanding it and explaining it clearly.
  • Depth of UI guidance: a short set of colour and type rules is a smaller job than full interface guidelines with components and their states.
  • Website scope: a launch page, a full marketing site with product, pricing and documentation pages, or a site in two languages.
  • Explainer content: diagrams, animated walkthroughs and product films are planned and quoted by length and complexity.
  • Decks and sales material: investor decks, sales presentations, product sheets and proposal templates each add design and writing time.
  • Photography: product, team and installation shoots depend on the number of items, locations and site access, and are quoted separately.

Questions and answers

Do you work with tech companies, or mainly consumer brands?

Both, though most of our portfolio is food, retail and corporate work, and we say so. Our technology work includes the Telcovate website for infrastructure automation, the TKM Techs technical-services website, a smart-home solutions brochure and product photography for electrical and audio equipment. The skills a tech brand depends on, clear explanation, consistent digital systems and careful product photography, run through all of it.

How do you explain a complicated product without dumbing it down?

We start with the customer’s problem, not the architecture. Once the one-line explanation is agreed, each layer adds detail for the reader who needs it: a buyer reads the headline and the outcomes, an engineer clicks through to the specification. Telcovate’s homepage follows that order, leading with “A Better Way to Automate Your Infrastructure” before any technical terms.

Can you make our product UI match the new brand?

Yes. We write interface guidelines covering colour, type, iconography, illustration and component styling, show them on key screens and hand the values to your product and engineering team. We review screens as they are built so the product and the marketing stay consistent. The build itself stays with your team or development partner.

We are about to raise money. Can you help with the pitch deck?

Yes. We help order the story, from the problem and the product to the market, the traction you can show and the ask, then design the deck so it reads well on screen and as a PDF. You supply and stand behind the figures; we make them clear.

Should we name the company after the product?

It depends on whether you expect to sell more than one product. A single-product start-up often gains from one name. A company planning a family of products may need a parent name with product names under it. Our brand architecture page explains the choices.

Can you make videos that explain our software?

Yes. Our motion graphics team produces animated explainers, interface walkthroughs and short product clips for the website, sales calls and social media. We script them around the one-line explanation so every film tells the same story.

Do you photograph hardware and installations?

Yes. Our creative studio has photographed products such as travel sockets and marine speakers, in the studio and on location, including an installer fitting a speaker to a boat. For installations at a client’s site, the shoot depends on access and the site’s safety rules.

How long does a technology branding project take?

It depends on the scope, so we agree the timeline with you after a first diagnostic conversation, before any work begins, and set it out in the proposal.

What should we share before a technology branding project?

Give us access to a demo or a test account, the product documentation and your current website, deck and onboarding emails. Tell us who buys, who uses and who signs off, which competitors they compare you with, what is on the roadmap and whether you are raising money. Share any customer feedback or sales call notes you are comfortable showing.

Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?

Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
