In short
Packaging in Abu Dhabi has to work for residents who shop weekly and for visitors who buy once and carry the pack home. The emirate recorded 26.6 million visitors in 2025, including 5.9 million hotel guests, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office (from our UAE statistics page). Abcon Branding designs packaging for food, drink, gift and consumer brands that sell in Abu Dhabi, working from Dubai and Sharjah. We have no studio in the capital, so we meet you there when a range is being decided and run reviews online. Abcon Group includes packaging and printing companies, so every design is checked against how it will be made.

What is included
What we design for Abu Dhabi packaging projects
Most briefs combine a few of these items, and the order depends on whether the product is on a shelf, in a hotel or on a delivery app:
01
Takeaway and delivery packs
Boxes, cups, bags and sleeves for cafés and restaurants, designed to look right on a table and survive a trip across town.
02
Retail and product packs
Pouches, cartons and jars for food and consumer products that compete on a shelf next to international brands.
03
Gift and souvenir packaging
Boxes and sleeves for products bought as presents by residents and visitors, with space for a short story about the maker.
04
Bilingual information panels
Layouts where the Arabic and English text, ingredients and warnings have room from the first draft, not squeezed in at the end.
05
Range and flavour systems
A structure that gives each flavour or size its own colour or label while keeping the family obvious.
06
Patterns and wraps
A brand pattern that keeps the pack recognisable when the logo is hidden behind a hand or a bag.
07
Production artwork
Dielines, colour specifications and print files prepared with the converter or printer, with samples checked before the run.

When it helps
When an Abu Dhabi pack needs a redesign
01
It sells to visitors and does not travel.
A pack that is delicate, awkward or unclear when carried home is a poor souvenir. Visitors need to see at once what it is, who made it and how to keep it.
02
The Arabic panel was an afterthought.
Food and consumer products usually need Arabic information alongside English. When the panel is added late, type becomes small and the front of the pack loses its balance.
03
Flavours blur together.
Customers choosing quickly cannot tell one variant from another when each pack uses the same colours. A clearer range system lets them find their own.
04
Delivery orders arrive messy.
Boxes that leak, bend or lose their lid hurt the product and the brand. Structure and material belong in the design brief, not in a later fix.
05
The brand disappears on the shelf.
Packs that look fine alone can lose out when set among larger international brands. Testing them in a shelf row shows where contrast and hierarchy fail.
06
Print runs vary between suppliers.
Colour and finish change when each pack goes to a different printer. One specification and approved samples keep the range consistent.
Process
How we work on packaging design in Abu Dhabi
Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.
01
Diagnose
We look at the product, how it is sold and the packs that stand beside it: on a shelf, in a hotel shop or on a delivery screen. We confirm the information that must appear on the pack, which your team or compliance adviser supplies and checks.
02
Architect
We develop a structure and a visual system, then test it as a flat design, a mocked-up pack and a row of competitors. Arabic and English panels are planned together before any artwork is polished.
03
Deploy
We prepare the dielines and print files. Because Abcon Group includes packaging and printing companies, we can discuss materials and finishes with people who produce them, and we check samples before a full run.
04
Compound
New flavours, sizes and seasonal packs are added to the same system. We keep the master files current so later variants cost less thinking and fewer errors.

Selected work
Packaging work that carries to Abu Dhabi
These projects come from our portfolio. We do not present them as Abu Dhabi projects, but they show the structures, ranges and bilingual layouts an Abu Dhabi brief asks for.
What shapes the cost of a packaging project for an Abu Dhabi brand
We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.
An existing standard box is a smaller job than a custom shape that needs its own dieline and tooling.
Number of items
A single pack, a full takeaway range and a retail line with many flavours are very different scopes.
Information panels
The amount of Arabic and English text, and the number of languages or regulatory panels needed.
Materials and finishes
Board, film, foil and special finishes affect design decisions and the production quote.
Print quantity
Run size and the chosen converter are quoted by the producer and are separate from design.

Yes. For a new range we meet at your premises or at the production site to look at the product and the materials, and we hold the rest of the reviews online. The meetings are listed in the proposal.
Can you design gift packaging for hotels and visitors?
Yes. We design boxes, sleeves and labels for products bought as gifts, with space for the product story in Arabic and English. We look at how the pack is carried and displayed, as well as how it looks.
Can the Arabic and English information fit on the pack?
We plan the panel from the first draft. You or your compliance adviser supply the required wording and confirm what must appear, and we arrange the type so it is readable without crowding the front.
Can you produce the packaging as well as design it?
Abcon Group includes packaging and printing companies, so we can discuss production with them and quote through them. If you already have a converter, we prepare artwork to their specification instead.
Can you design a range with many flavours or sizes?
Yes. We fix some elements and let others vary, so each variant is clear at a glance and new flavours can be added without redesigning the range.
Can you help with delivery packaging for a restaurant or café?
Yes. We design the box, cup and bag as a set, thinking about how they stack, seal and travel, and how the brand reads on a table or a delivery screen.
What should we share before a packaging design project in Abu Dhabi?
Tell us what the product is, where it will be sold and who buys it. Send existing packs, the required wording and any legal marks, photographs of the competitors beside you, and details of your printer or converter if you have one.
Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?
Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
