In short

Corporate identity is where a brand either holds together or splits by department. In Abu Dhabi the same company often writes official letters in Arabic, answers tenders in English and issues passes, forms and signs to staff, visitors and partners. Abcon Branding builds corporate identity systems for Abu Dhabi companies and groups from Dubai and Sharjah. We do not have an office in the capital, so we hold the key sessions at your premises and run the rest online. The result is a set of bilingual templates, stationery, documents and guidelines your team can use without calling us each time.

What is included

What a corporate identity covers

The identity is the working kit behind the logo. For an Abu Dhabi organisation, the scope is usually chosen from this list:

A Jumanah Foods business card with a gold foil monogram over a patterned card
01

Official letterheads and letter formats

Arabic, English and bilingual letters laid out with the correct text direction, reference lines, stamps and signature blocks.

02

Business cards, passes and ID cards

Cards for staff and visitors, designed so Arabic and English names both fit comfortably.

03

Document templates

Word and PowerPoint masters for reports, minutes, quotations and presentations, with styles already set so staff cannot break them.

04

Email signatures and digital templates

One signature format for every department, plus social profile images and cover artwork.

05

Group and subsidiary rules

How each company in a group carries the parent’s identity, and what each is free to change.

06

Reception and office graphics

Wall marks, door signs and directory boards that match the documents, produced through Abjar Signboard Works or prepared for your contractor.

07

Guidelines and a handover

A short, practical document and a folder of working files, with a session to walk your team through it.

When it helps

Signs an Abu Dhabi company needs a corporate identity system

  1. 01

Every department has its own letterhead.

Finance, projects and sales each use a slightly different file, so one company sends out three versions of itself. Partners and evaluators read that as lack of control.

  2. 02

Arabic letters are typed into an English template.

Page numbers, tables and signature blocks sit on the wrong side, and the result looks improvised. A proper right-to-left master fixes this once for everyone.

  3. 03

    Subsidiaries sign off as strangers.

A parent and its companies sometimes share nothing but a name. A clear system shows the relationship while letting each company keep its own line of business.

  4. 04

    A submission pack mixes formats.

The covering letter, forms and annexes come from different templates and look as if they belong to different companies.

  5. 05

New hires rebuild the brand from memory.

Without ready templates, people copy the last document they received, errors included. Locked masters and a short guide stop that drift.

  6. 06

The building and the paperwork do not match.

Reception walls, staff passes and visitor badges were done by different suppliers at different times, and visitors notice.

Process

How we work on corporate identity design in Abu Dhabi

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We collect a sample of what leaves your organisation: letters, tenders, quotations, passes, slide decks and photographs of the premises. A session with the people who send them shows where the brand slips and who has the authority to fix it.

  2. 02

    Architect

We set the rules for colour, type, grids and Arabic and English layout, and test them on your busiest documents first. For groups we design the parent and subsidiary relationship and show it on a sample letter, a pass and a slide.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We build the templates in the software your staff use and hand them over with a short guide. Printed items and signs can be produced through German Printing Press and Abjar Signboard Works, or supplied as files to your own suppliers.

  4. 04

    Compound

New departments, companies and forms are added to the system as they appear. We can run an online refresher with the people who maintain the templates, so the kit stays in use.

Identity systems that carry to Abu Dhabi

These identities from our portfolio show the range of a corporate system, from a shopfront to a delivery van. We do not present them as Abu Dhabi projects, but the documents, signs and uniform rules are the ones an Abu Dhabi organisation also needs.

Cost

What drives the cost of an identity for an Abu Dhabi organisation

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.

Our guide to what branding costs in Dubai explains how to compare quotes.

Organisation size

A single office needs fewer templates than a group with several companies and sites.

Existing logo

Whether the logo is ready, needs redrawing, or is still to be designed.

Template count

Each document type, such as letters, forms, quotations and slide masters, is built and tested separately.

Bilingual layouts

Documents that must exist in Arabic, English and both add layout and checking time.

Group structure

The number of subsidiaries and how much freedom each has under the parent.

Workshops and handover

How many sessions with staff and approvers take place in Abu Dhabi rather than online.

Questions and answers

How do you work with a corporate client in Abu Dhabi?

From our Dubai and Sharjah offices, with key sessions at your premises. We usually meet in person for the diagnostic session and the final presentation, and use video calls for working reviews. The schedule is set out in the proposal.

Can you build bilingual Word and PowerPoint templates?

Yes. We build separate Arabic, English and, where needed, combined masters with correct text direction, numbering and table behaviour, and we test them in the software your staff use. We then show your team how to use them without breaking the styles.

Can the identity cover a parent company and its subsidiaries?

Yes. We define what is shared, such as the parent’s mark, typefaces and layout grid, and what each company can change. We show the result on a letter, a pass and a slide so the relationship is clear before it is approved.

Can you produce the stationery and office graphics too?

Yes. German Printing Press can print stationery, and Abjar Signboard Works can make reception graphics and office signs. If you have preferred suppliers, we prepare files to their specifications instead.

Will you design staff passes and visitor badges?

Yes. We design the layout so Arabic and English names both fit, plus any colour coding you need. Your security or IT team supplies the data fields, and we prepare the print file.

How is a corporate identity different from a logo?

A logo is one mark. A corporate identity is the kit that applies it to documents, forms, passes and screens, with rules for colour, type and layout. If you only need the mark, start with a logo project.

What should we share before a corporate identity project in Abu Dhabi?

Send a sample of real documents: letters, quotations, tender submissions, slide decks and forms. Add photographs of signs, uniforms and passes, any group or parent guidelines, and the names of the people who approve brand decisions.

Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?

Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
