In short

A logo for an Abu Dhabi business is judged in places a smaller brand may never reach: the head of an official letter, a tender cover, a glass entrance, a staff pass, a vehicle door. Abcon Branding designs logos for companies in Abu Dhabi from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We have no office in the capital, so we meet you there for the briefing and the concept review and handle drafts and revisions online. Each mark is drawn on a construction grid, with the Arabic and English designed together, tested small and in one colour, and delivered as master files that your printer, signmaker and web developer can use as they are.

What is included

What a logo project covers for an Abu Dhabi client

Owners, group boards and in-house marketing teams brief us in different ways, so the scope is set after a first conversation. A typical project includes:

01

A briefing with the people who approve

A session with the owner, board member or department head who signs off, so the brief reflects how the decision will actually be made.

02

Concept routes

A small number of distinct directions, each with its idea written out, so a committee can discuss reasoning rather than taste.

03

Arabic and English lockups

Horizontal, stacked and single-language versions, drawn so the two scripts match in weight and the mark still balances when only one is used.

04

Official-use versions and tests

A one-colour version for stamps and letterheads, a compact version for forms and small screens, and checks on dark glass and at small sizes.

05

Signage proofing

The mark mocked up on a facade, reception wall or vehicle door before approval, with files ready for Abjar Signboard Works or your contractor.

06

Final files and a rules sheet

Vector artwork, screen files, colour values and a short sheet on clear space and minimum size, so every department and supplier uses the same mark.

When it helps

When an Abu Dhabi business needs a new logo

  1. 01

A new licence and a new name.

New economic licences issued in Abu Dhabi rose 29% in 2025, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office (from our UAE statistics page). A stop-gap mark often has to be replaced just as people start to recognise it.

  2. 02

    Freelancers and sole traders.

The same release reports freelancer licences up from 2,065 to 3,502. Someone trading under their own name needs a mark simple enough for a profile picture and an invoice.

  3. 03

    The Arabic looks pasted on.

Where the Arabic name was added after the English logo was approved, it sits at the wrong weight and height. Customers and officials who read Arabic first notice.

  4. 04

    The mark disappears on glass.

Many entrances in the capital are glass, steel and bright sun. A mark with thin lines or weak contrast can vanish there, and a facade mock-up shows it early.

  5. 05

    Group companies use unrelated marks.

Subsidiaries sometimes grow their own logos. When the parent and its companies look like strangers, partners and evaluators cannot see the connection.

  6. 06

The logo fails in small spaces.

Portals, forms and app icons crop and shrink whatever you send. A mark with no compact version gets cut off where many people first meet it.

Process

How we work on logo design in Abu Dhabi

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We meet at your office or online and ask where the mark will appear most: a facade, a vehicle, a form or a screen. We collect the current logo, the companies you are compared with and any group rules the mark must follow.

  2. 02

    Architect

We draw a few routes on a construction grid, Arabic and English together, and show them on a building sign, a letterhead and a phone screen. The chosen route is refined through your feedback.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We deliver master files, colour values and the usage sheet. Abjar Signboard Works and German Printing Press can produce the mark on signs and stationery, or we prepare files for your supplier.

  4. 04

    Compound

When a new company or product needs its own version, we add it to the same system so the family stays consistent.

Selected work

Logo work that carries to Abu Dhabi

These logos are from our portfolio, chosen for problems an Abu Dhabi brief often raises: Arabic and English together, one-colour survival and a symbol with a reason. We do not present them as Abu Dhabi projects.

Cost

What shapes the cost of a logo project for an Abu Dhabi business

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.

Our guide to what branding costs in Dubai explains how to compare quotes.

How many marks

One company needs one mark, while a parent with several companies needs a family of marks that look related and still tell the companies apart.

Routes and review rounds

How many concept routes are developed and how many rounds of feedback follow, which depends largely on how many people approve.

Arabic work

Whether the Arabic name is supplied, needs lettering drawn to match the English, or needs a choice of spelling and wording first.

Signage proofing

Mock-ups on a facade, a glass entrance or a vehicle, and production files for fabricators, are scoped separately.

Questions and answers

Will you meet us in Abu Dhabi for a logo project?

Yes. The briefing and the concept presentation work best in person, so we travel to your office for both. Revisions usually run online, and the proposal sets out the number of meetings.

Can you draw the Arabic name as part of the logo?

Yes. We draw the Arabic lettering to match the English and show both together from the first concept. If you want a traditional style, tell us at the start and we will include it among the routes. You confirm the spelling before anything is final.

Can you design a logo for a freelancer or a new company in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. For a new business we keep the mark simple, make it work on a profile picture and an invoice, and leave room to grow into a full identity later.

Will the logo work on building and vehicle signage?

We test that before you approve it, by mocking the mark up on a facade, a reception wall and a vehicle. Abjar Signboard Works can quote production, or we supply files to your contractor. Permits for external signs are identified in the scope.

We already have a logo. Should we redraw it or replace it?

It depends on how well known the mark is and what is wrong with it. Often a redraw, with a proper Arabic lockup and a compact version, fixes the problems without losing recognition. We give you a straight recommendation after reviewing it.

Do we need separate versions of the logo for official use?

Usually. A one-colour version suits stamps and letterheads, and a compact version suits forms, portals and small icons. We prepare both as standard.

What should we share before a logo design project in Abu Dhabi?

Share your current logo and files, the companies you are compared with, and photographs of where the logo appears today. Tell us about any parent-company rules, who approves the work and whether an Arabic name is already registered.

Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?

Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
