How the identity works

The design task

The supplied brief calls for an identity that reflects cultural depth and a global presence. The design task is to bring the two scripts together in a single mark and make that mark practical across the company’s materials.

One mark, two readings

The rationale explains how the Latin J and Arabic Jeem share the same form and dot. The English, Arabic and combined lockups use that monogram as their common identifying element.

Turn the mark into a working system

The guidelines specify the palette and type hierarchy, then repeat the monogram as a pattern. The application pages demonstrate the system on a frontage, letterhead and business-document templates.
