In short

A pack travels further than the brand that made it: from a RAKEZ warehouse to a shelf in another emirate, a courier van or a hotel guest’s suitcase. Commercial and general trading made up 33% of new RAKEZ companies in 2025 and e-commerce another 17%, according to RAKEZ, so cartons and labels are a daily concern for many owners there. Abcon Branding designs packaging that fits the product, the production run and the languages on the label. We work from Dubai and Sharjah, with no office in Ras Al Khaimah, and visit you to see products, samples and the packing line. Abcon Group’s German Printing Press can print the result.

What is included

What packaging design covers for Ras Al Khaimah brands

Packaging jobs range from a rebrand of an existing range to a first label for a new product. We typically handle:

Tayn Roastery chocolate bar packs standing on a stone ledge
01

Retail and shelf packs

Boxes, pouches, tubs and sleeves designed to be recognised in two seconds in a supermarket aisle or on a screen.

02

Labels and information panels

Ingredients, origin, barcodes and legal panels laid out in Arabic and English without crowding the brand.

03

Shipping and e-commerce cartons

Outer boxes, mailers and inserts that look like your brand when the courier’s sticker is removed.

04

Ranges and variants

A colour and layout logic that lets forty items in a range look related and still be told apart.

05

Gift and souvenir packs

Boxes and wraps for products that visitors buy to take home or give as presents.

06

Patterns, tape and tissue

Branded extras that make an unboxing feel considered and cost little to produce.

07

Dielines and print artwork

Files built to the printer’s template, with bleed, varnish and foil areas marked clearly.

08

Mock-ups and a pack review

Physical or digital samples so you handle the pack before ordering a run.

When it helps

Signs a Ras Al Khaimah product needs better packaging

  1. 01

The product looks like a generic import.

Trading firms often start by relabelling goods. A pack with a clear name and a consistent colour gives customers something to ask for by name.

  2. 02

Online orders arrive in plain brown boxes.

E-commerce accounted for 17% of new RAKEZ companies in 2025, per RAKEZ. In that crowd the moment a customer opens the parcel is a rare chance to be remembered.

  3. 03

Arabic is a sticker on the side.

Retailers and distributors in the UAE expect Arabic information that is part of the design, not a label pasted on top.

  4. 04

A range of variants all look identical.

If the lemon and the mint need a close read to tell apart, staff and shoppers pick the wrong one.

  5. 05

Visitors cannot take the product home.

The emirate reports 1.35 million overnight visitors in 2025, according to its tourism authority. A food or craft product that does not travel well in a suitcase misses them.

  6. 06

Print runs keep arriving with colour surprises.

Without proper print artwork and colour references, each batch can look a little different.

Process

How we work on packaging design in Ras Al Khaimah

Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We handle the product, ask where it is made, stored and sold, and gather your existing labels, sample cartons and the barcode and compliance details you must carry. If you can, we visit the packing area to see how the pack is actually filled and moved.

  2. 02

    Architect

We work out the pack structure, the hierarchy of name, product type and variant, and the Arabic and English panel layouts. You see flat designs and mock-ups on a shelf and in a delivery box before a design is approved.

  3. 03

    Deploy

We prepare print-ready dielines and artwork and brief the printer on stock, finish and colour. German Printing Press, part of Abcon Group, can print and finish, or we release files to your own supplier.

  4. 04

    Compound

New flavours, sizes and seasonal editions are added to the same system. We keep the master files in order and review the first printed runs against the approved colours.

Cost

What shapes the cost of packaging design in Ras Al Khaimah

We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.

Our guide to what branding costs in Dubai explains how to compare quotes.

Number of items

A single label differs from a range of dozens of variants with sizes and languages.

New structures

A standard box with a new graphic is quicker than a custom-cut shape that needs a new dieline and prototypes.

Materials and finishes

Foil, embossing, window cut-outs and special stock add design and proofing steps.

Information panels

Regulated text, ingredients and origin details in two languages take careful layout and checking.

Mock-ups

Physical samples take longer than digital renders but show more.

Print quantities

Print runs are quoted by the printer on size, stock and volume, apart from the design fee.

Questions and answers

Can you visit our warehouse or production unit in Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes. Seeing how products are filled, stacked and shipped saves guesses. We usually combine that with the first brief and meet again for the pack review.

Can you design bilingual labels with all the legal panels?

Yes. We lay out Arabic and English information with your supplied text, and you remain responsible for checking regulatory content with the relevant authority.

What should we share before a packaging design project in Ras Al Khaimah?

Tell us the product, where it will be sold, the quantities and the printer you plan to use. Send current labels, barcodes, ingredient or content text and photographs of the product and any existing packs.

Do you design outer shipping boxes as well as retail packs?

Yes. Many online sellers spend most on the retail pack and ignore the carton it ships in. We design both so the parcel feels like one brand.

Can you handle souvenir or gift packaging?

Yes. We design boxes and wraps for items bought as gifts, with a structure that protects the product in luggage.

Can German Printing Press print the packs?

Yes. It is part of Abcon Group and can print and finish many pack types. You may also send our artwork to any other printer.

How do we approve a pack from a different emirate?

We share designs by screen and, for the final stages, send printed samples or visit you. Approvals are recorded so the printer works from signed-off artwork.

Have you designed packaging for Ras Al Khaimah clients?

Not yet. The packs shown come from our wider portfolio of restaurants, cafés and consumer brands, and they are offered as examples of method.

Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?

Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
