In short
Al Ain is where a great deal of the emirate’s farming happens. The Al Ain Region holds 63% of all active agriculture, fisheries and livestock licences in Abu Dhabi emirate, with 896 active, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office. A grower or food maker in that company needs packaging that explains the product to a stranger on a shelf, in Arabic and English, and still feels like it came from a real farm or kitchen. Abcon Branding designs packaging from Al Qusais, Dubai, and Muweilah, Sharjah. We have no office in Al Ain, so we visit the farm, workshop or production line when it matters and handle drafts online. We design structure, artwork and labels together and prepare files for the printer you choose, or for German Printing Press in Abcon Group.

What is included
What packaging design covers for Al Ain producers and retailers
A farm that sells boxed produce and a café that sells takeaway sandwiches have different needs. We shape the work around the product and the printer. Typical items are:
01
A look at how the product is sold
Shelf, market stall, online delivery or gift box, because each demands a different kind of pack.
02
Structure and format
Tubs, sleeves, boxes, bags, wrappers and jars, chosen with your supplier’s range and minimum quantities in mind.
03
Front-of-pack identity
The name, the mark and the single idea that makes someone pick it up.
04
Bilingual information panels
Ingredients, origin, weight, storage and contact details laid out in Arabic and English with enough space for both.
05
Ranges and flavours
A system of colour and pattern so variants look related but can be told apart at arm’s length.
06
Gift and seasonal editions
Limited boxes for holidays, tourists and corporate presents.
07
Branded extras
Stickers, tissue, carry bags and delivery boxes that carry the identity to the doorstep.
08
Print-ready artwork
Dielines, colour separations and proofs prepared for your printer.
Vitness shelf ready boxes and wrappers, a concept for this service.
When it helps
Signs that Al Ain products need better packaging
01
The product is better than the box.
Customers love the dates, honey or dairy once they taste it, but a plain label does not persuade a first-time buyer.
02
Tourists are the new buyers.
Al Ain Region welcomed 473,100 hotel guests in 2025, up 9%, says the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi. Visitors want something that looks giftable and explains itself in two languages.
03
New licences, new rivals.
The region recorded 94 new agriculture licences in the first nine months of 2025, per the Abu Dhabi Media Office. Similar products will soon sit on neighbouring shelves.
04
You sell in more than one channel.
A pack that works at a market stall may fail in a supermarket or a delivery bag. A system can flex for each.
05
The label is crowded.
Mandatory information, certification marks and a story fight for a small space. Layout decides whether any of it is read.
06
Variants are confusing.
Customers cannot tell the large pack from the small one or the sweet flavour from the plain. Colour and hierarchy can fix that.
Process
How we work on packaging design in Al Ain
Every project follows the same four stages. This is what they mean here. Read more about our process.
01
Diagnose
We look at the product and at how it is stored, carried and displayed. If we can, we visit the farm or kitchen, and we collect existing packs, competitors’ packs and your printer’s specifications.
02
Architect
We draft a few directions on the real structure, with the Arabic and English panels in place from the first round. You see the pack as a physical mock-up, not only as a flat picture.
03
Deploy
We prepare the artwork and proofs for production. German Printing Press in Abcon Group can print, or we work to your own printer’s requirements.
04
Compound
When you add flavours, sizes or seasonal gift boxes, we extend the range so the new items sit naturally beside the old.

Selected work
Packaging work that carries to Al Ain
These packs are from our portfolio and none is an Al Ain commission. They show problems that producers there are likely to share: a range that must hang together, narrow labels, and a package that has to look good in a delivery bag.
What shapes the cost of packaging design for an Al Ain business
We quote every project after a first conversation, so the proposal matches what the business needs. These are the things that move the cost and the timeline most.
Each box, pouch, jar or sleeve needs its own structure and artwork.
Range size
A single product is quick, while many flavours or sizes need a system and careful variants.
Information load
How much regulatory text and how many languages the label must hold.
Mock-ups and proofs
Physical samples and press proofs add time and handling.
Printer requirements
Limits on colour count, finishes and minimum run affect the design.
Visits

Will you visit our farm or production site in Al Ain?
Yes, when it helps. Seeing how the product is picked, packed and loaded tells us more than a briefing document. We agree the visits in the proposal.
Do you have a studio in Al Ain?
No. We work from Dubai and Sharjah and travel for site visits and key reviews. Drafts and revisions run online.
Have you made packaging for Al Ain producers?
Not that we know of, and we do not claim it. Our packaging portfolio is mostly food and drink brands from elsewhere in the UAE, and we show it as transferable work.
Can you design the information panel in both languages?
Yes. We plan the Arabic and English panels at the same time as the front of the pack. You supply the legal and nutritional content and confirm it before print.
Can you help with gift boxes for visitors?
Yes. We design seasonal and gift editions that sit within the same system as your main pack, with room for a short story about where the product comes from.
Do you print the packaging?
German Printing Press in Abcon Group can quote the print, or we prepare artwork to your own printer’s specification. Production is quoted separately from design.
Can you design for small production runs?
Yes. We can work with stickers, sleeves and low-volume formats so a small producer is not forced into a large print order.
What should we share before a packaging design project in Al Ain?
Send photographs of the product and any existing packs, your printer’s specifications, the sizes you plan, the label information that must appear and the shops or channels where you sell. Tell us about competing products and who signs off.
Do you work with businesses in Abu Dhabi and the other emirates?
Yes. We work with businesses in Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain from our head office in Al Qusais, Dubai, and our office in Muweilah, Sharjah. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. Meetings happen in person at either of our offices, or online, whichever suits the project. Abcon Group also works in Oman.
